Sheldon Trucker Injured In Missouri Crash

AccidentGeneric 2Rock Port, Misssouri — A Sheldon man was hospitalized following a traffic crash early Monday near Rock Port, Missouri.

The Missouri Highway Patrol says the accident happened shortly before 1:00 am, three miles south of Rock Port on Interstate 29, when a 2016 Peterbilt semi-tractor and trailer, driven by 33-year old Donald Steingrubey of Sheldon, which was southbound on I-29, traveled off onto the shoulder of the interstate, striking the rear of a 2000 Chevrolet Suburban, driven by 28-year old Jaime Chirino of Omaha, which had stopped on the shoulder of the road.

Missouri Highway Patrol Troopers say Steingruby was transported by Atchison County Ambulance to Community Hospital in Fairfax, Missouri, with what are described as minor injuries.
