Sheldon United Fund Still Needs $10,000 Before December 31 To Finish On Goal

Sheldon, Iowa — The 2013 Sheldon United Fund Drive is underway and will continue through the rest of the year. The goal is $33,000.

The fund is up to $22,844.

The fund-raiser is 89% finished. The funds, however are only at about 69% of goal. To finish on goal, the fund should average over $5000 per week. This past week, only $1908 was donated.

Many organizations benefit from the money donated, and a list of those organizations and descriptions of what they do are available at all the banks in Sheldon.

We’re going to mention a few of the organizations that benefit from your donations every week. This time the list includes:

  • Meals on Wheels
  • Noah’s Ark Preschool
  • Northwest Iowa Life Awareness Council
  • Prairie Arts Council
  • Rise Ministries, Inc.

The United Fund will be assisting 24 different organizations in Sheldon and the surrounding communities this year, and they thank you for your contribution.
