Sheldon Woman Charged With Forgery/Identity Theft

Sheldon, Iowa — A Sheldon woman has been arrested on charges of Identity Theft and Forgery. Sheldon Police say that the charges against 30-year old Dina Elizabeth Escobar stem from an attempt to use a stolen identity in order to gain employment in the United States. Escobar is reportedly a citizen of Guatemala.
According to the arrest report, Forgery is classified as a felony, while Identity Theft is classified as an Aggravated Misdemeanor.
Police say Escobar was taken into custody and transported to the O’Brien County Jail at Primghar.
