SHS Student Leadership Team Organize “Pink-Out” Nights

Sheldon, Iowa — The Sheldon High School Student Leadership Team will hold the first of two “Pink-Out” nights during Orab Sporting events this Tuesday.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and Tori Fjeld of the Student Leadership Team tells us about the purpose of the “Pink-Out Night”.

Fjeld talks about “Pink-Out Night” festivities.

She says the money raised through the “Pink Out Nights” will go to a pair of organizations involved with breast cancer.

We asked Fjeld where the idea for the “Pink Out Nights” originated.

Tuesday’s “Pink-Out Night” will take place in conjunction with the Orab vs Okoboji volleyball match at the high school. Fjeld says they’ll be doing it again for football, with the football “Pink-Out Night” on Friday, October 18th when Okoboji comes to town to take on the Orabs.
