Sibley City Council Votes To Offer Administrator Position To Glenn Anderson

city councilSibley, Iowa — The Sibley City Council has offered the city administrator position to a Rock Rapids native.

According to official records from the Sibley City Council, council members voted unanimously last week to offer the Sibley City Administrator position to Rock Rapids native Glenn Anderson.

Anderson has been living in the twin cities, but has been in the news in northwest Iowa in the recent past. He ran unsuccessfully for the Republican nomination for Lyon County Auditor in 2012, losing to the woman who is now Auditor of Lyon County, Jen Smit.

Anderson was also the man who spearheaded the idea of a casino in Lyon County in 2008, while he was serving as Lyon County Economic Development Director. Anderson was released from that position in August, 2009.

There has been no word yet if Anderson will accept the position.
