Sibley Man Receives 20 Days In Jail; Probation After Pleading Guilty To Drug Charges

marijuana pot sxcSibley, Iowa — A Sibley man received a sentence of probation and 20 days in jail last week for a felony drug offense.

The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office reports that 23-year-old Paul Mitchell Nasers of Sibley pled guilty last week to Possession With The Intent to Manufacture or Deliver Marijuana, a Class D Felony and Possession of Methamphetamine, a Serious Misdemeanor.

Court records indicate that the crimes happened on March 4, 2013.

Nasers is to pay the minimum fine of $1065 and a 35% surcharge of $372.75, court costs, and restitution of all court-appointed attorney fees. For the Felony charge he was sentenced to five years in prison, with all time suspended if he serves two years’ probation. For the Serious Misdemeanor Nasers was sentenced to 20 days in the Osceola County Jail with work release being authorized for verified employment.
