Sibley Man To Serve Probation After Assault Conviction

gavel_sxcSibley, Iowa — A Sibley man will serve probation after being convicted of Domestic Abuse Assault.

The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office reports that 30-year-old Jedd Bradley Julius of Sibley was found guilty of Domestic Abuse Assault Causing Bodily Injury, a Serious Misdemeanor.

He was sentenced to 60 days in jail with all of the time suspended except for 25 days with credit for 25 days already served. Julius has to pay a fine and 35% surcharge, sheriff’s room and board fees, court costs and restitution of any court-appointed attorney’s fees; however, the fine and 35% surcharge are suspended pending satisfactory completion of all terms of probation. These terms include successfully completing the Domestic Abuse Intervention Program, obeying all laws, Local, State and Federal, and completing all other monetary obligations set out in the judgment.

Julius was arrested February 11, 2013 after he assaulted his girlfriend causing injury.
