Sibley Woman Taken To Hospital After Accident

Sibley, Iowa — A Sibley woman was transported to the hospital after an accident on Friday, September 14th in Sibley.
The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office reports that about 3:50 PM, 17-year-old Dustin Wyatt Taylor of Sibley was driving a 1998 Dodge pickup, eastbound on Fifth Street in Sibley. Fifty-five-year-old Lavonne Kay Prins of Sibley was driving a 2005 Ford Focus northbound on Fourth Avenue, had stopped at the intersection of Fifth Street and did not see Taylor’s vehicle approaching before she proceeded through the intersection and collided with Taylor’s pickup on the roadway.
Prins was taken to the Osceola Community Hospital by the Sibley Ambulance.
Taylor’s vehicle sustained about $5,000 damage. Prins’ vehicle sustained about $6,000 damage.
Prins was cited for Failure to Yield upon Entering through Highway.
