Sioux Center Teen Injured In Accident Near Sioux Center, Authorities Investigating

Sioux Center, Iowa — A Sioux Center teen was taken to the hospital after an accident north of Sioux Center on Wednesday (9/19).
The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office reports that just before 9 AM, 19-year-old Kaleigh Schildhouse of Sioux Center was driving a 1995 Oldsmobile Cutlass southbound on Highway 75, a mile north of Sioux Center, when she lost control of the vehicle. It entered the west ditch, where it rolled onto its top.
Schildhouse required extrication from the vehicle by the Sioux Center Fire Department and was transported to the Sioux Center Hospital by the Sioux Center Ambulance.
The Oldsmobile sustained about $3,000 in damages.
The Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Sioux Center Fire, Sioux Center Ambulance, Sioux Center Police Department and the Iowa State Patrol.
The accident remains under investigation.
