Perhaps I can rearrange your point a bit so it is easier to comprehend-
People buy 4 wheel drive SUV’s so they don’t have to respect winter roads.
I was told once that the difference between a 2 wheel drive and a 4 wheel drive is the length of the tow rope needed to pull them out of the ditch.

Uhhh…again…the driver…OVER-DRIVING the conditions. A vehicle itself is an inanimate object, until someone uses some force to get it going. SOMEONE. Therefore big-rigs don’t cause accidents–people overly confident, do!

Of the past 6 snowy accidents, how many were cars (or Bugs)? Zero to be exact.

Again, sounds like nothing to do with the vehicle itself. I wager that “driving too fast for conditions” would have applied even if it would have been a VW Bug.
