Sioux Center, Iowa — The year 1891 must have been a busy year to incorporate towns in northwest Iowa.
Celebrating their 125th this year are the towns of Granville, Hospers, Ocheyedan, and Sioux Center, just to name a few.
Sioux Center’s 125th or Quasquicentennial celebration is this weekend. Sioux Center Chamber Director Barb Den Herder says they’re glad that the community is pulling together to make the festivities great.
She says everything gets underway on Thursday night.
Den Herder says several events are planned for Friday.
She says the big day is Saturday.
Den Herder says the event wraps up Sunday with a community church service.
