Sioux County Authorities Arrest Three On Various Charges After Suspicious Vehicle Report

Orange City, Iowa — The third of three Sioux County young men has been arrested in the case of alcohol, drugs, and a car falsely reported as stolen.

On Sunday, November 25, at 12:45 AM, the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office investigated a report of a suspicious vehicle and people gathering near a rural residence on 330th Street, one mile south of Boyden. When the deputy arrived on the scene the people fled the location on foot and could not immediately be located. Upon further investigation, alcohol, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia were found in a vehicle, which was later falsely reported as stolen by its registered owner, 20-year-old Daniel Kragt, of Hull.

On Tuesday, November 27, 20-year-old Justin Jansma of Sioux Center was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, trespassing and underage possession of alcohol.

On Tuesday, December 4, Kragt was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, providing false report to law enforcement, trespassing and underage possession of alcohol.

On Thursday, December 6, 21-year-old Kyle Brummel of Sioux Center was arrested and charged with trespassing.
