Sioux County Jail Inmate Charged With Theft Of Phone Minutes

Orange City, Iowa — Usually theft gets people put IN jail. This theft HAPPENED in jail.

The Sioux County Sheriff’s office reports that they investigated the report of a theft in the Sioux County Jail in Orange City on Friday (11/23).

They report that the investigation showed that an inmate of the jail, 24-year-old Brittany Rich of Richmond, TX used $90 of another inmate’s phone card without permission.

Rich was charged with 5th degree theft, a simple misdemeanor.
