Sioux County Sheriff’s Office Arrests Three In Separate Incidents

Orange City, Iowa — The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office has arrested three people in separate incidents in recent days.

A Sheldon man was arrested early on Thursday, January 2. The Sheriff’s Office reports that in the 1 AM hour, they arrested 31-year-old Wilfredo Peralta of Sheldon and charged him with serious domestic assault and driving with a barred driver’s license.

The Sheriff’s Office says the arrest stemmed from an altercation Peralta had with an adult female while they were travelling in a vehicle. The assault is alleged to have occurred north of Sioux Center on Highway 75.


A Rock Valley man was arrested on Saturday night, January 4. The Sheriff’s Office reports that in the 7 PM hour, they arrested 40-year-old Dewayne Pfau of Rock Valley, and charged him with domestic abuse assault.

The arrest stemmed from an alleged altercation between Pfau and a female victim that occurred at a home near Rock Valley.


An Ireton man was arrested on Saturday morning, January 4. The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office reports that in the 10 AM hour, they arrested 32-year-old Adam Smith of Ireton on a charge of possession of stolen property.

The arrest stems from an ongoing joint investigation between the Sioux and Lyon County Sheriff’s Offices.
