Sioux County Sheriff’s Office Looking For Truck That Hit Inwood Woman’s Car

Koedam hit and runRock Valley, Iowa — The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office is on the lookout for a truck that struck an Inwood woman’s car.

They report the accident happened on Monday (2/25) at 6:45 AM at the intersection of 300th Street and Highway 18, nine miles west of Rock Valley.

Twenty-four-year-old Kayla Koedam of Inwood was driving a 2002 Pontiac Grand Prix southbound on Highway 18, and was beginning to turn left turn onto 300th Street. A white semi‐tractor pulling a grain trailer was southbound behind Koedam and was attempting to pass her when the truck struck the front driver’s side of Koedam’s vehicle. The truck continued southbound on Highway 18 without stopping.

The truck is described as having blue lettering on the door of the semi‐tractor. The semi‐tractor sustained damages to the passenger side of the semi‐tractor on the steps and rear drive wheels.

No injuries were reported.

The Pontiac sustained about $5,000 in damages.

The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Rock Valley Police Department.
