Sioux County Sheriff’s Office Releases More Details On Weekend Arrests

siouxsheriff2Orange City, Iowa — The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office has released further details about two recent arrests in the county.

On Saturday (4/27) at 2:00 AM, the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office arrested 21-year-old Samantha Davis of Le Sueur, MN.

The arrest stemmed from a traffic stop that occurred at the intersection of 450th Street and Garfield Avenue, four and a half miles northwest of Maurice.

Upon further investigation,the deputy determined that Davis was in possession of illegal drugs.

Davis was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.


A Rock Valley man was arrested and charged with felony OWI on Friday night.

The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office advises that about 11:45 PM, one of their deputies arrested 30-year-old Seth Van Kekerix of Rock Valley. The arrest stemmed from a traffic stop that occurred on 360th Street, 11 miles southwest of Rock Valley, near Hudson.

Upon further investigation, the deputy suspected that Van Kekerix was under the influence of alcohol.

Van Kekerix was arrested and charged with 3rd offense operating while intoxicated.
