Sioux Deputy Elected President Of Statewide Organization

Orange City, Iowa — One of the deputies of the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office is now the president of a statewide organization.

Deputy Waylon Pollema tells us about the Iowa Association of School Resource Officers.

He tells us the main goals for the organization.

Pollema says his duties as president will mostly be connected to next year’s conference, including helping to get good speakers and training lined up.

Pollema says that those on the board let him know that he may be up for the president position, but he says he was elected by his peers in the Association during the conference on Tuesday and Wednesday of this week.

He says for more information, you can visit www.iasro.org or look for the Iowa Association of School Resource Officers on Facebook.
