Sioux Enforcement Area

Date posted - March 2, 2012

The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office is doing a traffic safety project today on roads known to have a high rate of school traffic. Deputies are patrolling various roads used by students traveling to and from school. They will enforce traffic laws and increase their presence.

Today’s focus is on three locations:
*Highway 10 from Orange City to Granville
*Highway 18 from Rock Valley to Sheldon
*Highway 10 from Hawarden to K30

Over the course of the last several years, the sheriff’s office has concentrated on traffic enforcement in an effort to lower the high number of traffic fatalities and injury accidents throughout Sioux County. This project is a continued effort to keep motorists safe.
