There is a high chance of at least 3 inches of snow on Friday for a large portion of the area. Snow starts during the morning, and will fall for about 6 to 12 hours, ending late Friday night. Snow-covered roads, blowing snow, reduced visibility, and difficult travel are all expected throughout the day Friday. If you plan to be out on Friday, continue to monitor the forecast for any changes over the next couple days!
A quick-moving weather system will bring light snow/wintry mix to the area overnight into early Thursday morning. Accumulations will be light, with under an inch of snow expected. Nevertheless, most can expect a dusting when waking up on Thursday, so prepare for a slower morning commute.
A blast of arctic air will bring dangerous wind chills to the region Saturday morning through the weekend. The coldest temperatures are expected Sunday morning, with wind chills of -30 to -20. Actual air temperatures will bottom out at -15 to -10 degrees on Sunday morning. Bundle up, and make sure that animals are protected from the cold and have an unfrozen source of water.
