Spears took the occasion to thank the school boards with whom he has worked over the past 21-years, especially the one that hired him, for giving him the opportunity to serve the Sheldon Community School District, and for supporting the decisions made during his administration.

Spears’ resignation will be effective as of June 30th next year. He told the Board he made the announcement of his retirement early in the year to allow the Board ample time to find a suitable replacement.
