Spencer Beating Victim Dies In Sioux Falls Hospital; Suspect Now Charged With Murder

Sioux Falls, SD — A man who was badly beaten in Spencer in August has passed away.
The Spencer Police Department reports that 59-year-old Edward Kitto had been found beaten and unresponsive in the back yard of a Spencer home. Kitto never regained consciousness and passed away as a result of his injuries.
Spencer Police report that Twenty-one-year-old Christopher Fitzpatrick is now charged with first degree murder in connection with Kitto’s death. He had been charged with first degree robbery and willful injury.
