Spencer Teen Missing Since July Found In Spencer Home

Brenna StevenSpencer, Iowa — A Spencer teen missing since July has been found — in Spencer.

Spencer Police had been attempting to locate 16-year-old Brenna Steven of Spencer since this past July.

The Spencer police report that they executed a search warrant on Wednesday evening (11/13/13) at a home on Park Street in Spencer, in an attempt to locate Steven.

Steven was located hiding inside a couch in a bedroom in the home. Taken into custody for harboring a runaway, was a 17-year-old boy and his mother, 34-year-old Alexandria Henry.

The boy was transported to the YES center in Cherokee. Henry was booked into the Clay County Jail.

The runaway was returned to her parents.

Brenna Steven was reported missing to Spencer Police on July 20th, 2013 by her father.

It is believed that she has been allowed to stay in the home where she was found nearly the entire time she has been missing.

The investigation is continuing and more arrests expected.
