St. Pat’s Celebrates National Catholic Schools Week

st. patrick's 87Sheldon, Iowa — This week is National Catholic Schools Week, and the faculty and staff at St. Patrick’s School in Sheldon are celebrating with different themes for each day of the week.

St. Patrick’s Principal Mendy Haefs tells us what Catholic Schools Week is all about.

Haefs says Monday was “Show Your Spirit Day”, where students and faculty were encouraged to dress in St. Patrick’s School attire.  The day ends with a Taco Supper from 4:30 to 7:00 in the church basement.  She says Tuesday, weather permitting, will be “Book Character Day”.

Wednesday, she says, is “Dress For Success Day”.

Haefs says they also have something special in store for Thursday and Friday.

National Catholic Schools Week begins on the last Sunday in January each year, and this year is January 31st through February 6th.
