Suicide Walk Aims To Break Silence

Sheldon, Iowa — An awareness walk is coming up on Saturday, September 16th in Sheldon, and the organizers want to help erase the stigma that families of suicide victims face, break the silence, and prevent suicide in northwest Iowa.

Maria Schwartz of Primghar is one of the organizers of Saturday’s walk, and she tells us about it.


She gives us some details and tells us what to expect if you participate.


She tells where the idea for the walk came from.


Again, the event is at the Sheldon High School Track, this Saturday, September 16th. Registration starts at 4:00 p.m., with the walk starting at 4:30 p.m.
