Summer-Like Weather In Store For Memorial Day Weekend

When winter lasted, seemingly forever, this year, many predicted that we’d move directly from winter weather to summer weather, with nothing in between. It looks like those people might have been right.

The Memorial Day holiday weekend is normally thought of as the start of the summer season, and this year that will be reflected in the temperatures, according to National Weather Service Meteorologist Brad Temeyer.

Temeyer says it certainly seems to have been a very brief spring.

Although Memorial Day weekend is thought to be the traditional beginning of the summer season, summer doesn’t OFFICIALLY start until 5:07 am CDT on Thursday, June 21st.
