UPDATE: Charges Filed In Boyden Stabbing

Boyden, Iowa — Sioux County authorities have made an arrest in connection with a stabbing that happened Sunday morning in Boyden.

At 12:08 p.m. Sunday, the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office arrested 38-year-old Susana Ochoa, of Boyden. The arrest stemmed from a domestic disturbance that occurred inside a residence in Boyden earlier Sunday morning. Sioux County authorities say their investigation revealed that Ochoa stabbed the male victim with a knife during the altercation.

Deputies say the victim was transported by the Boyden Ambulance to the Sanford Sheldon Medical Center, and was later flown to a Sioux Falls hospital.

Authorities say Ochoa was charged with willful injury, a Class C Felony.

The Sioux County sheriff’s office was assisted by Boyden Ambulance, Sheldon Police Department, O’Brien County Sheriff’s Office and Iowa State Patrol.

Boyden, Iowa — Authorities were called to a Boyden residence Sunday morning to the report of a stabbing.

Sources tell KIWA that one person was taken to the Sanford Sheldon Medical Center for treatment of a stab wound.
