Date posted - February 5, 2012

On Thursday, February 2, the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office began receiving complaints from numerous individuals, within and outside of Iowa, concerning a possible Super Bowl ticket scam.

The complainants all named a Boyden, IA resident as an involved party in this situation.

The complainants advised sheriff’s office investigators they were told they would get Super Bowl tickets at a discounted rate through various ticket wholesalers. They advised they never did get their tickets.

Upon further investigation, the sheriff’s office has now referred this case to the Iowa Attorney General’s Office Consumer Protection Division. The contact person there is, Investigator Stephen Switzer. His phone number is (888)777-4590 and his email address is Stephen.Switzer@iowagov.

Anyone calling Mr. Switzer will need to leave a short message and Mr. Switzer assures that he will contact every one of them about their case.
