Suspicious Person Call Leads To Arrest Near Sioux Center

Sioux Sheriff Car 84-Sioux Center, Iowa — A report of the sighting of a suspicious person in rural Sioux Center has lead to an arrest.

The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office says that just before 1 AM, they investigated the report of the suspicious person on 350th Street northeast of Sioux Center. Someone who lives there reported that someone else was outside on the driveway tampering with their vehicle.

Upon further investigation deputies and officers from assisting police departments located 22-year-old Jonathan De Bondt of Doon hiding near a vehicle that was parked at the residence. De Bondt was arrested on a charge of criminal trespassing.

The Sioux Center Police Department and Rock Valley Police Department assisted the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office.
