Sutherland, Iowa — Labor Day traditionally marks the end of the summer season, and is the climax of the summer celebration season, as well. Sheldon Celebrataion Days is going on this weekend, but in addition, Sutherland is holding their Labor Day Celebration, as well.
Events begin Saturday in Sutherland with a Sausage & Pancake Breakfast. Events continue throughout the day Saturday, and continue Sunday with events such as the car and motorcycle burnout, car cruise, and antique tractor ride. There will be street dances on Main Street both Saturday and Sunday nights.
Monday features the 10:30 am parade, volleyball and horseshoe tournament, Saddle Club fun day and horse show, and musical entertainment in the park.
The Labor Day Celebration is held each Labor Day weekend in Sutherland.
