Text-A-Tip Program Utilized In Marijuana Citations Near Orange City

text-a-tipOrange City, Iowa — The Sioux County Text-a-Tip program is behind drug charges for three juveniles and one 18-year-old recently.

The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office reports that on Friday evening (10/11/13), they investigated the Text‐a‐Tip report of illegal drug use occurring at a place four miles southwest of Orange City.

Upon further investigation deputies located three 17-year-olds and one 18-year-old using marijuana.

As a result of the investigation, three juveniles — two from Orange City and one Granville — were issued Juvenile Court citations for possession of a controlled substance. They were released to their parents.

Eighteen-year-old Kaitlin Van Klompenburg of Orange City was charged with possession of a controlled substance and was also released to her parents.
