Two Face Serious Charges After Boyden Altercation

Hand Cuffs sxcBoyden, Iowa — Two young men from Hull face some serious charges after an altercation on Sunday in Boyden.

The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office reports that on Sunday morning (8/11/13), they were alerted to an altercation that occurred at a home on Pleasant Street in Boyden.

Deputies were able to determine that 20-year-old Arturo Tapia and a 16-year-old boy, both from Hull, went to the home carrying a weapon with the intention of inflicting bodily harm to the person living there.

Following the altercation, Tapia and the juvenile left the residence.

That afternoon, deputies located Tapia and the 16-year-old at a home in Hull.

Tapia was arrested and charged with going armed with intent to inflict bodily injury, 3rd degree burglary, aggravated assault, and underage possession of alcohol.

The 16-year-old was transported to the Youth Emergency Services Center in Cherokee and issued Juvenile Court citations for going armed with intent to inflict bodily injury, 3rd degree burglary and aggravated assault.
