Two Michigan Men Taken To Hospital After Accident West Of Rock Valley

The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office reports that just before 6:30 AM on Wednesday, December 4, 25-year-old Eric Rylee of Petal, MI was driving a 2003 Chevrolet Silverado pickup northbound on Highway 18, about two and a half miles east of Fairview, when he lost control of the vehicle, which entered the west ditch and rolled.
Rylee and a passenger, 22-year-old Jon Carpenter of Winona, MI were both transported by the Rock Valley Ambulance to Hegg Memorial Hospital in Rock Valley. Their injuries were not serious, says the report.
The Chevrolet sustained approximately $4,000 in damages.
Rylee was ticketed for failure to maintain control of the vehicle and both Rylee and Carpenter were ticketed for failure to use a seat belt.
The Rock Valley Ambulance crew and Rock Valley Fire Department assisted the sheriff’s office.
