Two Osceola County Residents Found Guilty Friday

Two Osceola county residents were found guilty of various charges on Friday, May 18th.

50-year-old Sharon Seivert of Ashton pled guilty to Operating While Intoxicated 2nd Offense, an Aggravated Misdemeanor. The charges stem from a February 24th 2012 traffic stop that occurred on 4th Avenue and Johannes Street in Ashton.

Seivert is to pay a fine of $2,507.50, the cost of this action, and restitution of any court appointed attorney fees, if any and is sentenced to imprisonment in the Osceola County Jail for a period of one year, with all time suspended except for seven days, and placed on informal probation to the Osceola County Sheriff for a period of two years.

20-year-old Ashley Henning of Sibley was found guilty on two counts of 5th Degree Theft, both Simple Misdemeanors. Henning was arrested December 10, 2011 for taking Iowa Lottery tickets, without paying for them, while employed at Casey’s General Store in Sibley. Henning is to pay a fine of $235.00, the cost of this action, restitution of any court appointed attorney fees, and victim restitution, if any and is sentenced to imprisonment in the Osceola County Jail for a term of thirty days, with twenty-eight days suspended, and placed on informal probation to the Osceola County Sheriff for a period of two years.
