Two Sheldon Police Officers Honored For 30-Years Of Service

Sheldon, Iowa — Two Sheldon Police Department officers reached a milestone in their careers earlier this week.

At a small, private ceremony held Friday afternoon at the Sheldon Community Services Center, Officer Brian Wielenga and Officer David Dykstra each received a plaque from the Sheldon Police Department honoring their 30-year tenure with the law enforcement agency.

Wielenga and Dykstra now join Officer Scott DeGoei as 30-year veterans of the Sheldon Police Force.

The citizens of Sheldon thank you for helping to keep them safe for the past 30-years, and continuing well into the future.
