Sheldon, Iowa — Donations to the 2017 Sheldon United Fund have slowed down some more, but due to strong early giving, the total is still ahead of pace.
The drive continues through the rest of the year. The goal this year is $31,000.
The fund drive is now 39% finished. The funds are at about 50% of goal, at $15,414. Over $15,500 has yet to be raised. To finish on goal, the drive now needs to average nearly $2,000 per week through the rest of the year. In the last week, donors gave $760.
Contributions to any or all of the organizations served by the Sheldon United Fund may be left at five locations in Sheldon: Citizen’s State Bank, Iowa State Bank, Northstar Community Credit Union, Northwestern Bank, and Peoples Bank, or you can also send them to PO Box 41, Sheldon, IA 51201. Explanations of the organizations are also available at the dropoff points.
