Inwood, Iowa — An unusual crop for northwest Iowa is being grown at a farm near Inwood.
Instead of the usual corn and soybeans, Mark Bonnema of Hoppy Trails Hops Farm, tells us about the crop he grows.
Bonnema says hops has just one major use.
We asked Bonnema how he got started growing hops.
He says he discovered that he needed to either grow his operation, or get out of it altogether.
Bonnema says that growing hops is a lot of hard work.
