Sheldon, Iowa — A number of candidates are in the running for the US Senate seat that will be open upon the retirement of Senator Tom Harkin. Sheldonites and others from northwest Iowa will have the chance to see one of them in person on Wednesday.
U.S. Senate candidate Mark Jacobs will be at the Prairie Queen Bakery and Restaurant in Sheldon, at 12:00 noon on Wednesday, Feb. 5. For those who don’t know, the Bakery is at 301 10th Street in downtown Sheldon.
Jacobs will be at Prairie Queen Bakery and Restaurant to meet with voters and answer questions.
Later Tuesday afternoon, Jacobs will make an appearance at Shari’s Kitchen in Rock Rapids — located at 207 South Story Street, at 3 PM.
Earlier that day, he plans to be in Spencer at the Terrazzo Coffeehouse in the Dream Center at 7:30 AM.
The day before — Tuesday, February 4th, Jacobs will make an appearance at Regatta Grill in Storm Lake, at 12:30 PM.
The 51-year-old candidate is from West Des Moines, and is running as a Republican candidate for the U.S. Senate seat being vacated by Tom Harkin.
His campaign says his focus is creating jobs and opportunities for all Iowans.
