Cedar Rapids, Iowa — KIWA News Director Scott Van Aartsen was in Cedar Rapids last (Thursday) night to attend the annual Trees Forever banquet and awards ceremony, where he was presented with the “Outstanding Media Partner Award” from Trees Forever.
Northwest Iowa Trees Forever Coordinator Jeff Jensen explains what the banquet and awards ceremony is all about.
Jensen says the Outstanding Media Partner Award was presented due to the work Van Aartsen and KIWA do to let people in northwest Iowa know about the importance of trees.
Jensen talked about the importance of trees.
Thursday night’s Trees Forever banquet and awards ceremony was held at the Kirkwood Hotel in Cedar Rapids.
