While it will be a shade cooler today, humidity will remain high, and the warm and humid conditions are likely to stick around much of the upcoming week. Highest afternoon heat index values will be in the 90s for most, and even some areas near 100 on Wednesday. Dry weather will be favored early in the week, but by midweek we will find the likelihood of more clouds along with chances for thunderstorms during the nighttime and morning hours. There could even be a few severe storms Wednesday night.
