Drivers: Watch Out For Blinding Sun Straight Ahead
Date posted - September 23, 2016
Statewide Iowa — Twice each year, with the arrival of spring and fall, Iowa motorists need to be particularly careful when driving at sunrise and sunset.
Gail Weinholzer with Triple-A-Iowa, says the sun could be blinding during the morning and afternoon commutes for the next few weeks, especially since the sun is lined up almost directly with east-west roads.

While the autumnal equinox marks the first day of fall in Iowa and all across the northern hemisphere, of course on the other half of the world south of the equator, they are in the first days of spring.
