Water Will Be A Major Topic Of Discussion At Sheldon Council Meeting

community services center 300pxSheldon IA — Water will be a recurring theme when the Sheldon City Council meets Wednesday afternoon.

At 4:30 pm there will be a Public Hearing on the Deep Well Project.  This hearing will consider a Resolution approving plans and specifications, followed by a Resolution to award the contract for the project.  The proposed new well would be approximately 650 feet deep, and the bids would include a submersible pump, a pitless adapter and miscellaneous other work.

The Council is also scheduled to discuss the Lewis & Clark Water System, consider a Sunday Liquor License for the Sheldon Eagles Club, Consider a Student EMA Applicant, and consider a request from the SCDC concerning Halloween activities.

The Council will also consider Pay Estimate #1 for the Sheldon Crossing Improvement Project, Consider Pay Estimate #3 for the Downtown Infrastructure Project, and consider the sale of a lot in the Schemper Addition.

The Sheldon City Council meeting will be gaveled to order at 4:30 pm Wednesday, in Council Chambers at the Sheldon Community Services Center.
