Orange City, Iowa — The Wellmark Foundation has awarded a $21,400 grant to the Community Health Partners of Sioux County to help fund the Let’s Go Sioux County 5-2-1-0 project. The project will implement a summer activity promotion program modeled after summer reading programs, and will implement a coordinated, culturally, and geographically specific social marketing campaign to reduce childhood obesity in Sioux County.
“Let’s Go 5-2-1-0 is a great start to building communities that really value health,” said Angela Kroeze Visser, Community Health Promotion and Disease Prevention Coordinator at Community Health Partners. “We have some great partners in each community and are excited to launch Let’s Go in Sioux County.”
