Winter Weather Again On The Way This Spring

Date posted - April 17, 2013

Ice-&-Snow_logo_smSioux Falls, SD — Winter weather could be headed for northwest Iowa again. But it doesn’t look like it’s going to be as bad as last time.

We talked to Phil Schumacher, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Sioux Falls, and he tells us what to expect.

He says the main threat as far as driving conditions will probably be during the day on Thursday.

The snow and wind should taper off late Thursday afternoon or Thursday night, he says. He says the heavier snow is forecast to stay north and west of our area, however.

As of this posting, there is a Winter Weather Advisory in effect for our main coverage area of Lyon, O’Brien, Osceola, and Sioux Counties from 1 AM Thursday to 1 AM Friday.
