Work Zone Accident On Highway 18 In Sheldon Sends Waterloo Worker To Hospital

The Sheldon Police Department reports that about 10:55 AM on Wednesday, October 2, 82-year-old Patricia Muilenburg of Sibley was eastbound on Highway 18 near Wansink Avenue in a 2001 Ford. Worker, 51-year-old Stennette Schauf of Waterloo was walking eastbound with her back to Muilenburg’s vehicle. When Muilenburg passed the worker, she struck her with the passenger side mirror.
Schauf was transported to Sanford Sheldon by Sheldon Community Ambulance Team.
Muilenburg’s Ford received $100 damage.
No charges were filed.
