Bakker Signs with Northwestern

BakkerOrange City, Iowa — Kyle Bakker has signed a letter of intent to continue his basketball career at Northwestern College next fall.

Bakker is a 6’4” forward who played three years for Boyden-Hull High School. Bakker averaged 12 points, 4.7 rebounds and two assists in leading the Comets to the class 1A district finals with a 20-4 overall record. He shot 57% from the field, earning all-conference recognition as a senior. An honor roll student and member of the National Honor Society, Bakker plans to major in accounting or Agri-Business at Northwestern. He is the son of Ryan and Jaime.

“Kyle is an athletic forward with a long wing span,” said head Northwestern basketball coach Kris Korver. “He has been coached well, has a good shooting touch and is a hard worker on the court. We are glad to have Kyle join us here at Northwestern.”
