The Sioux Center Warriors defeated the Boyden Hull Rock Valley Nighthawks 19-0 in the district opener at Open Space Park in Sioux Center.

The missed extra point made the score 6-0 with 1:35 left in the first half.
Sioux Center followed that score in the 3rd quarter with another O’Donnell score, this time on a run of 31 yards. The three play 43 yard drive took 1:28 off the clock, and after the failed two point conversion, the Warriors led 12-0 with 2:42 left in the 3rd quarter.
After Chris Borchers of the Warriors intercepted a Van Ginkel pass in the end zone, the Warriors drove the ball 80 yards and ate 6:17 off the game clock. Scoring on a 1 yard O’Donnell keeper, the Warriors increased the lead to 19-0. The game would end a few unsuccessful drives later with the same score.
