Boyden Hull Rock Valley – Webster City Football Preview

football 1Northwest Iowa — Round two of the football playoffs find Boyden Hull Rock Valley on the road at Webster City Monday night. The Nighthawks advanced with a 24-16 first round win at 9th ranked Sioux City Heelan. 4th ranked Webster City opened with a 35-0 win over unranked Humboldt.

The Lynx feature a dominating ground game having rushed for 3400 yards and 39 touchdowns as a team. Webster City has a pair of thousand yard rushers in Gavin Dinsdale with 1493 yards and 23 touchdowns. Payton Kannaun has 1044 yards on the year with 9 touchdowns and a 9.2 yards per carry average. The total offense for the Lynx hits 4226 yards and 50 touchdowns.

Boyden Hull Rock Valley counters with a more diversified offense totaling 3268 yards on the season with 44 touchdowns. The running game is led by Miles Van Maanen with 1110 yards and 15 touchdowns. The passing game featuring Brett Moser and Brady Post has accounted for 1559 yards and 18 touchdowns.
