football2Northwest Iowa —- Week two of the high school football season marks the end of non-district play. On KIWA AM 1550 it’s Sheldon at South O’Brien. On KIWA FM 105.3 we’ll bring you a state ranked match up with West Lyon at Boyden Hull Rock Valley.

Sheldon travels to Paullina with a 1-0 record following a home win over Sibley Ocheyedan. The Wolverines are 0-1 following a loss to West Central on opening night.

For coach Tyler Lloyd and his Orabs it will be important to keep South O’Brien from getting into a rhythm.

When the opportunity presents itself the Orabs need to make dynamic plays’

South O’Brien Head Coach Mark Fuhrman says the Wolverines will have to be ready for the Orab passing game.

Another concern will be Sheldon’s big play potential.

At Helsa Field in Hull a pair of undefeated teams will meet. Boyden Hull Rock Valley tops the latest 2A poll following a season opening win over Western Christian. The Wildcats are 9th in the latest 1A poll coming off a win over Central Lyon George Little Rock to start the season.

Boyden Hull Rock Valley Head Coach Cory Brandt knows his Nighthawks will be tested.
