Conaway And Struve Earn INS Radio Iowa Basketball Player of The Week Honors

basketballA pair of girl’s basketball players from the KIWA listening area have been named INS Radio Iowa Players of The Week.

Alexis Conaway of MOC-Floyd Valley earned the honors in Class 3A. The junior averaged 24 and a half points, 10 rebounds, seven steals and more than four blocked shots in a pair of wins. Conaway scored 26 points, hauled down 10 boards, added six steals and five blocked shots in a victory over Rock Valley.

Rachel Struve of South O’Brien earned the honors in Class 2A. The junior averaged 17 and a half points and 14 rebounds in two games. Struve scored 18 points and grabbed 11 rebounds in a win over Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn. She connected on 11 of 16 shots in the two games.
