Hauff Mid-America Sports is the presenting sponsor of the 2019-2020 GPAC Players-of-the-Week and Players and Coaches-of-the-Year awards program.
Hauff Mid-America Sports/GPAC Cross Country Runners-of-the Week
Women – Olivia Couch, Dordt University
Dordt’s Olivia Couch is this week’s GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Women’s Cross Country Runner-of-the-Week. Couch, a senior from Fort Collins, Colorado, finished first out of 64 runners with a time of 19:34 on the 5k course and led the Defender women to a team win, outdistancing the second-place team by 65 points. Her win was the first individual cross country title in her college career and came over runners from three NCAA DII teams, one JUCO team, and three NAIA teams.
Men – Dylan Hendricks, Northwestern College
Dylan Hendricks of Northwestern is the GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Men’s Cross Country Runner-of-the-Week. Hendricks, a junior from Grundy Center, Iowa, was the top NAIA runner at the SDSU Classic, an event held at the Edgebrook Golf Course in Brookings, South Dakota. He finished 20th overall with an 8K time of 26:29 in a meet that featured four NCAA D-I teams and several from NCAA D-II.
